- Winter Program (01 May – 31 October) Behind the scenes at Polar Bear Shores: Meet the Polar bear keepers and learn all about these amazing animals.
Summer Program (01 November – 30 April) Reef Walk at Shark Bay: Snorkel though the intertidal rock pools at Shark Bay, learning about the fish, rays, sharks, sea stars and sea cucumbers that live there.

- Opening Hours: Park gates open 9.30am to 5pm

- Family Facilities: Stroller hire available for 6months-3years $20 with form of ID. Parents Rooms contain private feeding areas and separate changing facilities and are located at Top Terrace to left of Sea World Exit Shop and between Shark Bay + Penguin Point.
- Car Parking: Ample parking is available at Sea World.
- What to wear: Swimmers. Wetsuit and snorkel gear provided
Guidelines, Cancellation, Terms
Safety and Restrictions:
• Participants must be aged 8 to 14 years of age and a minimum height of 126cm (measured without footwear). Participants will be supervised at all times by a designated Sea World staff member, excluding while participants are changing. Parents/guardians are not able to join the group.
• Participants must be able to speak and/or understand English, or have a translator participate in the program with them. There are no complimentary programs for translators. Persons acting as a translator must advise staff at the start of the program. Translators must satisfy all criteria.
• Participants must wear enclosed footwear (no thongs/open toe sandals)
• Participants must have controlled motor movement.
• Participants must be able to swim, when a Reef Walk is included
• Participants are required to bring their own bag, bathers, towel and dry clothes, when a Reef Walk is included
• Guests are not permitted to wear any ARM/LEG jewellery including rings, anklets, bracelets, toe-rings, religious and cultural ornamentation unless it is unable to be removed then it has to be taped.
• Participants must follow directions quickly to the satisfaction of staff.
• Participants must be able to quickly exit back of house areas unassisted.
• Participants must not have any open cuts or infections.
• Please inform staff of any medical conditions during check-in.
• Please be advised that Peanut Butter is used in the Polar Bear Shores area. Please advise staff of any allergy concerns.
• Participants must not have any form of disability which prevents them from satisfying the criteria for participation.
• Animal Adventure booking is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Terms and Conditions:
• Participation in Sea World Animal Adventures in only available to Sea World guests, and only on the day of their visit. PLEASE NOTE: General admission to Sea World is an additional cost and is not included in the price of participating in Animal Adventures programs.
• Participants acknowledge they will be required to check in one hour prior to their program start time. For programs commencing prior to 10am please consult your ticket.
• Participants acknowledge that they will be entering an environment housing animals. Whilst Sea World takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff, participants should be aware that close encounters with animals will always involve a degree of unpredictability, where quick reaction and strict attention to directions from staff are essential.
• Participants release Sea World to the full extent permitted by law from any claim for personal injury, loss or damage arising from their participation in Animal Adventure programs. Participants agree to comply with all lawful directions that Sea World makes in respect of their participation.
• Certain criteria must be met in order to participate in each of the Animal Adventures programs. They are strictly enforced to ensure the safety of our guest, staff and animals. All participation is subject to final assessment by the Marine Sciences staff member at the time of attendance. If at any time prior to the program or during the program a participant is assessed by the staff as not being able to fulfil the criteria, they will be directed to leave the program. No refund will be given [subject to any requirements at law to the contrary].
• Availability, start times, duration times, number of participants, selection criteria and all other conditions and/or relevant information are subject to change without notice.
• All participants, or a legal guardian (18 years or over), will be required to sign a liability release form and criteria check-list before beginning the program.
• The optional purchase of an Animal Adventure Photo package involves the taking of photographs of some/all participants together in the program. These photographs may be distributed by VRTP at its sole discretion.
