1. What time is departure: Check-in is 7:15am at the Bundaberg Port Marina, and return at 5:30pm.
2. Car Parking: FREE parking is available in our designated car-park.  Please park in our free car parking, which is located behind a large sign – “The Home of Lady Musgrave Experience” in a gravel car park.  Please do not park in the Marina car park, as this is a shared car-park with other businesses.  We do have street signage to direct you to our car-parking area.
3. How long does it take to get to Lady Musgrave Island: The trip to Lady Musgrave Island is approximately 2 hours 15 from the time we depart Bundaberg and reach the Island.
4. Will I get sea sick: As travel to Lady Musgrave Island is an open ocean passage, we strongly recommend that all passengers take sea-sickness medication as a precaution.  Suggestions to help with sea-sickness, is to take a sea-sickness tablet the night prior to travel, stay well hydrated, avoid alcohol & take another sea-sickness tablet the morning of your tour date.  We do also have sea-sickness tablets for sale on board.
5. What do I need to bring: A towel, sunscreen, sun glasses, hat, thongs or footwear for island walks and a camera to capture your experience. Money to buy drinks, snacks or souvenirs from the kiosk bar. Certification card if you are a certified diver and money to pay for an introductory dive if you want to do your first dive! Thongs are for sale for those who require footwear for island walks.
6. Accessibility: Lady Musgrave Experience, Lady Musgrave HQ and Australia Whale Experience are committed to consulting people with disability, their families, carers and disability organisations to ensure barriers to access and inclusion are addressed appropriately. We have developed strategies to progressively improve access and inclusions. All staff are inducted and advised according to our strategic accessibility plan. Lady Musgrave Island is accessible via all terrain wheelchairs. The vessel is wheelchair accessible and the friendly crew are always available and willing to offer assistance where required. There is disable bathroom facilities onboard both Reef Empress and Lady Musgrave HQ Pontoon. The glass bottom boat can accommodate wheelchairs as well as our main vessel. Guided Island tours are possible for those with suitable all terrain wheelchairs for travel on sandy surfaces. Read more on accessibility here.
7. Dietary Requirements: Yes we do, our daily buffet menus provide vegetarian and gluten free options. Please contact us if you have any special requirements or add them in the special requirements section at the time of booking.
8. When is the best time of year: Nature has something to share and surprise us with every day of the year. During the winter months, we witness the humpback whale migration, while in summer we see mating, nesting and hatching turtles. All of our activities take place all year round, including snorkelling and diving.  While Great Barrier Reef tours which depart out of Cairns and other destinations along the Great Barrier Reef may have a distinct stinger season, our subtropical climate means we are exempt from this and can swim safely all year round.

Weather Conditions

All tours are subject to weather and minimum numbers and may be changed without notice due to conditions on the day. Lady Musgrave Experience reserves the right to substitute vessels if necessary.

Should a tour be cancelled by Lady Musgrave Experience you may choose to have your booking:
– Rescheduled
– Placed on hold for future use up to 3 years
– Full refund if booked and paid direct. Please allow 3-10 business days for refund to be received into your account.

We do recommend taking out travel insurance to assist in covering your accommodation costs or fees incurred if tours are cancelled.

Lady Musgrave Experience has flexible cancellation policies so that you can book your Great Barrier Reef experience with confidence.

DAY TOURS CANCELLATION POLICY
No cancellation fees for day tour bookings cancelled up to 48 hours prior to travel date.
Cancellation within 48 hours of travel – 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations within 24 hours of travel – 100% cancellation fee.

ACCOMMODATION CANCELLATION POLICY
Payment is to be made upfront for accommodation bookings.
Free to re-schedule up to one week prior to travel, otherwise cancellation policy applies.
Cancellation from booking to 7 days of travel – 20% cancellation fee.
Cancellation within 7 to 3 days of travel – 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations within 3 days of travel – 100% cancellation fee.

Should a tour be cancelled by Lady Musgrave Experience due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you may choose to have your booking:
– Rescheduled
– Placed on hold for future use up to 3 years
– Full refund if booked and paid direct. Please allow 3-10 business days for refund to be received into your account.
