Dolphin Discovery Centre: Australia’s Wild Dolphin Encounter

Located in Koombana Bay, Bunbury, just two hours south of Perth, the Dolphin Discovery Centre offers Australia’s premier wild dolphin experience. Home to over 100 wild bottlenose dolphins, the Bay welcomes visitors to interact with these gentle creatures in the wild and free Dolphin Interaction Zone, where dolphins frequently approach knee-to-waist deep water, especially during the warmer morning hours.

The Centre provides year-round Dolphin Eco-Cruises, allowing guests to see dolphins in their natural habitat, and from November to April, a “Swim with the Dolphins” tour for a more intimate encounter. The wild Interaction Zone is free to access, while inside, the Marine Discovery Centre features aquariums, interactive displays, a 360° dolphinarium, VR sets, and more, telling the story of the region’s unique marine ecosystem.
