Uncover Australia’s Stories at the National Museum of Australia

Step into the heart of Australia’s history at the National Museum of Australia, where stories from the past come alive on the picturesque shores of Lake Burley Griffin. The Museum’s striking architecture is more than just a building—it’s a portal into the rich and diverse tales that have shaped the nation and its people.

Bring the little ones along for a special treat with free 15-minute story time sessions in the workshop next to the Discovery Centre. Happening every Tuesday and Thursday during the ACT school term at 10:30 am, it’s a delightful way for kids to engage with Australia’s stories. Spaces are limited, so be sure to drop in early!

After story time, explore the museum’s many exhibitions at your own pace or enjoy a Host Talk in the galleries, offered every hour between 10 am and 4 pm. For the ultimate cultural day out, indulge in the Ultimate Museum Experience, complete with a delicious meal at the Museum Cafe and a voucher to bring a piece of history home from the Museum Shop.
