About

A jaw‑dropping, culture‑charged journey from super‑croc fossils to modern conservation—bare your teeth!

From October 2025, step into a wide-eyed world at Queensland Museum Kurilpa and walk alongside crocodiles like never before. Croc! Lost Giants to Living Legends takes you on a 130-million-year time travel expedition, introducing ancient giant crocs like Sarcosuchus and today’s mighty saltwater species through life-sized models, fossils, visuals and immersive storytelling.

Families will get hands-on with interactive challenges—test your crocodile IQ, explore First Nations Sea Country connections through vibrant artworks, and peer through projection displays that bring crocodile motion and biology alive. Special exhibits explore cultural icons from the Egyptian god Sobek to Hollywood favorites and feature actual tools used by crocodile researchers.

This exhibition is more than bones—it’s a blockbuster blend of science, culture and conservation that speaks to curious minds of all ages. Perfect for families nurturing both adventure and depth, it’s a chance to spark curiosity, build awareness of croc survival strategies, and connect with First Nations stories about these iconic Australian creatures. Because here, legend becomes learning.

✨ Ready to meet the Croc? Book your family’s spot today and step into a world where imagination snaps alive in every scale, story and scaly smile—only at Croc! Lost Giants to Living Legends.
