Turtle power has not only influenced and empowered young fans but is bringing nostalgia to Millennial parents of today who grew up the original turtles and their battle with Shredder and the Foot Clan.

Believe it or not it’s been more than three decades, that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) movie franchise has been captivating audiences of all ages with its signature blend of action, humour, and camaraderie. Vintage 1984, these pizza-loving, crime fighting turtles have left a lasting mark on pop culture. From the comic books to animated series and a bag full of films, the TMNT franchise have not only entertained but inspired generations of ninja kids worldwide.

For those interested in the value add of the characters and storyline, it’s there. Firstly, with the characters strengths Leonardo’s guidance, Raphael’s passion, Michaelangelo’s humour and Donatello’s intelligence. Dig deeper beneath and you may see the perpetual adolescent themes of navigating relationships, brotherhood, dealing with bullies, and finding their place in the world. An ethos central to the turtles, is the importance of teamwork and leadership. Both millennial parents and children learned value of collaboration, empathy, and mutual respect – invaluable in their own lives.

The TMNT influence extends beyond its direct impact on fans. TMNT played a significant role in the emergence of the legendary ‘Ninja Warrior’ culture that we see today. The turtles’ dedication to martial arts and disciplined training instilled a fascination with agility, strength and endurance.

As Millennials grew up watching the turtles master their ninja skills, many were inspired to take up martial arts, parkour, and other physically demanding activities. This inspiration gave rise to a generation that sought to test their own limits and push themselves to achieve remarkable feats.

Perhaps it’s the turtles’ who we should be saying ‘Booyakasha’ for in celebration of all the experiences now available for kids and adults with the ultimate environment for learning and refining those ninja moves including Urban Xtreme, Ninja Jungle, Area 51 and Ninja Parc.

So with that all said, Mikey and the gang are back in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.
