Thanks to the continued popularity of the program, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary have updated their series of School Holiday adventurer programs to ensure all age groups are kept entertained and engaged. Now available as a half day for Juniors ages 5-8 year olds and a full day for Wild Adventurers 9-12 year olds.
All Wild Adventures programs will include a diverse range of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and cultural immersion opportunities for participants to engage with.

ZOO SCIENTIST FOR A DAY – Monday 1st July
Become a Zoo Scientist for the day and use your new-found knowledge of ecology and natural sciences to help protect the environment. Observe water bugs and minibeasts, visit Honey World, and explore Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary getting up close to the animal ambassadors!
ANIMAL TRAINER FOR A DAY – Tuesday 2nd July – SOLD OUT!
Learn the training techniques Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary use for both animal checks and behaviours for their shows.
HOMES FOR WILDLIFE – Wednesday 3rd July
Learn about the amazing work our horticulture team does. Get an insight into plant species, learn about the importance of native flowers and gain an up-close look at habitat design for different species.
KEEPER FOR A DAY – Thursday 4th July – SOLD OUT!
Take a walk in the boots of a keeper! From cleaning, to food preparation, health checks, enrichment and more; participants are guaranteed to walk away with a better understanding of keeper duties.
VET FOR A DAY – Friday 5th July
Participants will learn about rehabilitation and rescue, release techniques, veterinary equipment and their uses, and conduct health checks on animals.

CHILD FRIENDLY DINING
- Sanctuary Cafe – Traditional favourites and cafe style staples available all day suitable for breakfast and lunch.
- Wild Burgers – Fast and fresh selection of burgers, fish & chips, fried chicken, sandwiches, salad wraps plus light refreshments. Hours vary, check upon arrival.
- Aussie Scoop Ice Cream Parlour – available all day.

- Family Facilities: Change room, stroller availability, high chair, microwave / bottle warming
- Car Parking: Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is located at 28 Tomewin St, Currumbin and has a dedicated car park on Tomewin Street – open from 7.30am until 5.30pm (except on event days). Car park fees apply. Alternatively there is free street parking.$10 parking – all proceeds directly support Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.
- Adult Zone: Spectators are welcome to relax with a coffee and a snack from their café. Alcoholic beverages are available at the Sanctuary Cafe.
