  1. Opening Hours: Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 5.30pm to 9pm. Additional days of operation are scheduled during School Holiday periods and special events.
  2. Where is it Located: on Lock Island, Mildura, between Lock 11 on Hugh King Drive and the Mildura Weir. Lock Island and the activation space at the adjacent Rio Vista Park are easily accessible on foot from the Mildura CBD via existing walking tracks (approx. 1.7km).
  3. Car Parking: Ample parking is available nearby in multiple car parks along Hugh King Drive or on Cureton Avenue to access Trail of Lights and Rio Vista Park. Hugh King Drive: The Lock 11 car park provides direct access, whilst another car park is just 300m away outside the dog park.  Additional parking is also available at the Mildura Wharf car park, from where you can enjoy an approx. 1.5kms walk along the scenic riverfront. Cureton Avenue:  The Rio Vista car park and adjacent street parking is located 260m from the trail, offering accessibility via both stairs and a ramp. Mildura Homestead: For those who enjoy a leisurely stroll, the Homestead car park, situated 600m from the installation, allows visitors to take a picturesque six-minute walk past the historic Mildura Homestead and along the river.
  4. Is food and beverage available: You can enjoy food and drinks within the vibrant atmosphere of the dedicated activation space at Rio Vista Park. Hot and cold drinks, Acai bowls, toasties and other light refreshments are available at Jessica Rabbit. A bar offering local wine and a selection of other alcoholic beverages is also located within the park.
  5. Accessibility: Actively welcomes people with access needs. Offer multiple options for booking – web, email, phone . Offer a range of contact methods for receiving complaints . Accept the Companion Card . Employ people with disability . Train your staff in disability awareness . Have wheelchair accessible picnic tables (picnic tables require 720mm knee clearance and 800mm maximum height). Have wheelchair access to amusements and activities including boats and bush trails (includes tour rides, skyways, trolley cars, flying fox, amusement rides and boating). Have at least one wheelchair accessible parking space with wheelchair accessible signage clearly displayed (International standards are 3200mm wide x 2500 mm high). Have wheelchair accessible transport options available in the general vicinity (provide information on name of the operator, phone and website link to individual providers for private vehicles, community transport train, mini vans, hire cars, buses, taxis, ferry, tram, light rail etc in your access statement). Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids) .
