About

Climb the 18.3m Rocking Horse, Animal Park & Toy Factory (40 Mins from Adelaide)

The Big Rocking Horse at Gumeracha lets you climb to the top of an 18.3-meter rocking horse (once used as a Country Fire Service lookout!) for views from the horse's head, plus animal park, minigolf, playground, toy factory, cafe, and gift shop—all in one place.

Established in 1981, this quirky roadside attraction combines the iconic big thing with actual activities for families.

What's available:

  • Climb inside Big Rocking Horse to top (18.3m high)
  • Animal park (interact with animals)
  • Minigolf
  • Playground
  • Toy factory
  • Gift shop
  • Cafe
  • Free picnic area on lawn
  • Big park bench for photos

Perfect for families driving between Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills who want a quirky stop combining iconic Big Thing photo op with actual kid activities (animal park, playground, minigolf). The climb inside the horse is the novelty factor kids love.
