Create Your Own Urban Symphony

What does Circular Quay sound like to you? This summer, step into a world of art and sound at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia’s City Soundscape. Inspired by the thought-provoking Julie Mehretu: A Transcore of the Radical Imaginatory exhibition, this hands-on activity invites families with children aged 5 to 12 to explore the city’s rhythms and sights in a whole new way.

Drop into this creative art-making space and experiment with photocopying, tracing, and collage using a variety of materials. Let your child’s imagination come alive as they transform the sights and sounds of the urban environment into their own unique soundscape masterpiece.

Supported by The Balnaves Foundation, the MCA’s school holiday programs provide a fantastic opportunity for families to connect through art, creativity, and discovery.
