Museum of Brisbane's winter school holiday program (27 June–12 July) is packed with hands-on making, city-inspired creativity and zine workshops — with free and budget-friendly activities for every young maker and curious mind.
MoB Kids: City Sculptures
27 June–12 July | 10am–1pm | $2 | All ages
Build, balance and create. Kids design and construct their own 3D geometric sculptures of Brisbane's cityscape, using colourful shapes and textured elements inspired by Artist in Residence Renee Kire. A hands-on activity for imaginative builders of every age. Drop in.
MoB Kids: Remix your Brissy

Build your own Brisbane! Using paper pieces by Artist in Residence Martin Edge, kids cut, remix and twist together iconic drawings to invent a brand-new cityscape bursting with colour and imagination. Plus, enter a special competition for the chance to have their creation transformed into a one-of-a-kind artwork by Martin Edge to keep. Drop in.
MoB Teens: Zines with Izzy
Wednesdays 1 & 8 July | 2pm–4pm | $30 + booking fee | Ages 10–15
Cut, paste and publish. Teens create their own DIY zine — mashing up images, words and ideas into a unique mini-publication guided by artist Izzy Heaton. Includes a mini tour of Precious for a dose of punk-inspired inspiration before hitting the studio. Ages 10–12 require a supervising adult. Bookings required.
Warrajamba

Join Artist in Residence Delvene Cockatoo-Collins on a quest to find Warrajamba, the mermaid from an ancestral story. Free making activities: craft mermaid or dugong dolly peg dolls using stamps designed by Delvene.

Ride one of Brisbane's oldest working cage lifts to City Hall's iconic Clock Tower. Take in sweeping 360-degree views from the top of the city and go behind the scenes of Australia's largest analogue clock faces.
