1. Pick Up:  Self Drive meeting points are located in Port Douglas & Mossman.
   Some transport companies may offer transfers from Cairns & Palm Cove.
   Uber or Taxi’s are also an option. If booking your own transfers, please choose Self Drive – Wildlife Habitat as the pickup location, and ensure you arrive at Wildlife Habitat 15 mins before your pickup time. Please contact our office for more info.
2. What do I need to bring: Swimwear. We provide wetsuits for all guests. If you prefer, you can bring shorts to swim in, and we’ll provide a thermal top. Bikinis and bathers are not advisable. There are no change rooms at the river, so please wear your swimmers underneath your clothes if opting for shorts. Towel & comfortable footwear. Waterproof camera. Prescription glasses with case or contact lenses. Contact lenses are recommended for this activity. If you prefer glasses, Any personal medication
3. Do you need to be able to swim: Suitable for all guests with good mobility. Perfect for families and first-time river adventurers. Must be comfortable in and around water.
4. What about crocodiles: You should always be Croc-wise in Croc country; that is why you can rest assured that our tour operates in a very safe, Croc-Free stretch of water. Crocodiles use the water, sun and shade to maintain their preferred body temperature of 30–33°C. Where we swim is too clear, too cold at 16-22°C, and too shaded for crocodiles. The cool water is one reason we provide you with a very fashionable wetsuit to use during your tour.
