1. Opening Hours: Daily from 11am. Closed Christmas Day.
2. How long is the show: Free flight birds of prey show runs for an 1hr from 11.30am and 2.30pm daily.
3. Is there food available: A small selection of sandwiches, hot pastries, chips, cookies, icecream, cold and hot drinks every day. Food cannot be taken into the bird presentation, it must be consumed prior or put away for the duration of the show so the birds don’t steal it!
4. Family Facilities: Some of our birds are scared of wheels, so prams and strollers cannot be taken down to the arena. These can be left in the shop, or in your vehicle for the duration of the presentation.
5. Accessibility: Actively welcomes people with access needs. Accept the Companion Card. Train your staff in disability awareness. Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia) . Use Plain English / easy read signage and information (includes menus and emergency information). Caters for people who use a wheelchair. Have step free outdoor pathways (includes picnic areas, barbecues and shelters). Have a step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs). Have step free access to restaurant, lounge and bar. Have accessible seating areas in theatrette. Have an accessible public toilet which is unlocked. Have a wheelchair accessible toilet / shower and change room. Have wheelchair accessible picnic tables (picnic tables require 720mm knee clearance and 800mm maximum height). Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids) . Use floors/coverings which are slip resistant, firm and smooth. Use non-slip tiles in the bathroom or slip resistant matting. Have grab rails in the bathroom. Provide seating in common areas including reception area.
