A festival that lights up not only the desert but the soul

Parrtjima is where ancient wisdom meets cutting-edge technology, creating a one-of-a-kind celebration of the world’s oldest continuous culture. Set against the awe-inspiring 300-million-year-old MacDonnell Ranges in Central Australia, this annual festival transforms the desert into a glowing masterpiece of art, culture, and light.

What to Expect:

  • Cultural Celebration: Experience authentic Aboriginal stories and traditions brought to life through interactive workshops, performances, and films.
  • Live Music & Talks: Immerse yourself in a vibrant program of music, discussions, and films that celebrate the depth and diversity of Aboriginal culture.
  • Art Evolution: Discover how artists honor Country and culture while experimenting with new materials and styles.
