A Celebration of Nyoongar Culture

Step into a vibrant celebration of song, dance and storytelling with Nyumbi, which means celebration dance in the Nyoongar language.

Every Saturday, enjoy this free 45-minute experience featuring:

A traditional smoking ceremony
A celebration dance performed by a different Nyoongar group each week
Powerful storytelling through song, dance and language

Afterwards, continue your cultural journey inside the WA Museum Boola Bardip with the exhibition Ngalang Koort, Boodja Wirn – Our Heart, Country, Spirit, or join a guided tour to hear Boola Bardip – “many stories” from Aboriginal communities across Western Australia.

🖤 WA Museum Boola Bardip is located on Whajduk Nyoongar boodjar (Country). Nyoongar peoples are the Traditional Owners of the south-west boodjar, made up of 14 clans from Jurien Bay to Esperance.

This inspiring event is proudly supported by Tourism WA, City of Perth, and produced by Karla Hart Enterprises.
