Family-Owned Sanctuary for Iconic Australian Wildlife
Just 20 minutes north of Parramatta, Koala Park Sanctuary offers a warm, family-owned environment where you can get up close with Australia’s most iconic wildlife. Founded in 1930 by Noel Burnet to protect koalas from the fur trade, this sanctuary has been family-operated ever since, dedicated to conservation and education about Australia’s beloved native animals.
Here, families can pat koalas, snap photos at no extra cost, and learn about the sanctuary’s commitment to preserving koala habitats. Along with koalas, you’ll find a variety of friendly Australian animals ready for interaction, making Koala Park a perfect spot for a memorable family day out.
