Kick off your adventure with the Australian Dinosaur Giants Tour, where you’ll meet Cooper, Australia’s largest dinosaur, and discover the incredible story behind his 95-million-year-old fossilised remains.

Then, it’s time to roll up your sleeves! With guidance from expert fossil techs in the Palaeo Learning Laboratory, your crew will learn how to clean, examine, and help preserve genuine fossil finds. It’s a rare chance to go behind the scenes of a working fossil lab and experience the excitement of real palaeontology.

Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday (May-Sept 2025) and Tuesday to Saturday (Oct-Jan 2026) from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Is there mobile reception: 4G mobile phone reception (Telstra only) is available inside the museum. There is limited mobile reception outside. Free Wifi available in Museum.
Are any transfers available: Free Eromanga airport transfers are available via the museum mini-bus for booked museum tours. A shuttle is also available for visitors flying into Quilpie Airport which is a 1-hour drive from Eromanga. The shuttle bus accommodates 1-4 people and costs $215 from Quilpie Airport. Please note this shuttle must be booked at least 3 days prior to arrival.
