The Dome brings together architecture, light and space across 6,000 m² and rises over five connected levels with panoramic views of Johnstone Park and Corio Bay. On Level 1, kids can dive into the interactive Children & Youth Zone—complete with storytimes, mini-makerspaces, digital games, a parent lounge (yes, coffee), and even 3D printing and VR LEGO zones. Greater heights offer research havens and visual galleries—perfect spots to recharge amid the books.
Level 3 is Kim barne thaliyu / The Vault—Victoria’s largest regional heritage archive and a treasure trove for young history detectives. Family historians and budding storytellers can explore newspapers, photographs, maps and rare records, with expert staff on hand to help unlock the past in the Heritage Reading Room.
