About

Step back in time with a prehistoric adventure in Queensland’s Outback!

The Eromanga Natural History Museum (ENHM), located just outside the remote town of Eromanga, is a must-visit for dinosaur lovers and curious young minds. Home to ‘Cooper’, Australia’s largest dinosaur, this world-class facility gives families a hands-on glimpse into life millions of years ago.

Discover towering dinosaurs, ancient megafauna, and even microfauna as tiny as a grain of sugar. With fossil discoveries dating back 95–98 million years, the museum brings to life the incredible natural history of the region. Budding palaeontologists will love seeing real fossil bones, learning how they're preserved, and joining expert-led tours that make science exciting and accessible.

The newly expanded museum now features a welcoming café and gift shop, making it easy to refuel and take home a dino-themed keepsake. Don’t miss the popular Australian Dinosaur Giants Tour, running four times daily, or go a step further and join a fossil prep experience to work like a real fossil technician!

Whether your kids are dino-obsessed or you’re just looking for an educational family adventure, ENHM is an unforgettable stop in the heart of Outback Queensland.
