1. Opening Hours: Daily 10am to 6pm
2. Car Parking: The Kitchener Drive multi-storey car park’s ticketless parking system uses number plate recognition technology to calculate and charge for parking based on each vehicle’s length of stay. Parking is free for under two hours.

   Street Parking is available at the Darwin Waterfront. Parking fees do not apply for on-street car parks on weekdays outside of 8am-5pm and on weekends. Parking continues to be monitored on weekends and parking infringements will apply to vehicles that park illegally.

3. Accessibility: Actively welcomes people with access needs. Have accessibility information and photos, including of a bathroom, room and/or floor plan on your website (can be emailed on request). Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids). Use floors/coverings which are slip resistant, firm and smooth. Use non-slip tiles in the bathroom or slip resistant matting. Have grab rails in the bathroom. Provide seating in common areas including reception area. Caters for people who use a wheelchair. Have step free outdoor pathways (includes picnic areas, barbecues and shelters). Have a doorbell or intercom at an accessible height and display a contact number (accessible height is 900mm-1100 mm). Have a step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs). Have step free access to restaurant, lounge and bar. Have lifts with enough space for people using a mobility aid to enter and turn around to use the lift buttons. Buttons are at accessible height. Have a wheelchair accessible toilet / shower and change room. Have wheelchair accessible picnic tables (picnic tables require 720mm knee clearance and 800mm maximum height). Have wheelchair access to amusements and activities including boats and bush trails (includes tour rides, skyways, trolley cars, flying fox, amusement rides and boating). Provide beach matting and beach wheelchairs for people to access the water. Provide portable hoist. Have at least one wheelchair accessible parking space with wheelchair accessible signage clearly displayed (International standards are 3200mm wide x 2500 mm high).
4. Can I bring a tent: You are welcome to bring your own temporary, light-weight shade tents, but nothing can be pegged into the ground without approval.
5. Can I bring my dog: Service animals are welcome at the Darwin Waterfront. Please ensure that your service animal is appropriately restrained and under control at all times. Please note that service animals are not permitted to enter any body of water (Wave Lagoon or Recreation Lagoon) or on the man-made beach.
