About

Where creativity comes to life! 🎨🎭🎶

Every May, the Cairns Children’s Festival transforms the city into a wonderland of creativity and fun for kids aged 12 and under—and their grown-ups too!

Imagine, create, and explore! This two-day festival is all about celebrating young imaginations, giving kids the chance to step into the spotlight while families enjoy an inspiring and safe environment filled with interactive workshops, concerts, hands-on activities, and roving entertainment.

Be part of the magic! From art installations and performances to creative play zones, the festival encourages kids to get involved, whether it’s through workshops leading up to the event or on the day itself.

Affordable family fun! Many activities are completely free, with some ticketed experiences available at family-friendly prices.

A must-do for families visiting Cairns in May! Whether you're a local or visiting the region, the Cairns Children’s Festival is the ultimate experience for little creatives to express themselves, be inspired, and make unforgettable memories.
