About

What Makes Us Human in a World of Robots and AI?

Are we born or are we built? Born or Built? is an interactive exhibition exploring the fascinating (and sometimes unsettling) relationships between humans and machines—testing how intelligent AI really is, whether robots can read emotions, and what it actually means to be human when technology keeps getting more... human-like.

This isn't abstract philosophy presented on text panels. It's hands-on activities where you can have conversations with AI to test its intelligence, discover if robots recognize your emotions, share your thoughts on big ideas shaping tomorrow's world, and explore prosthetics, implants, and brainwave-reading technology that's already blurring the lines between human and machine.

The exhibition works across ages because everyone engages at their own level: curious kids love testing the robots and interactive displays, tech-loving teens dive into the AI conversations and ethical questions, adults find themselves genuinely pondering what humanity means when machines can do more and more of what once defined us as uniquely human.

What you'll experience:

  • Hands-on AI conversation tests
  • Emotion-reading robot interactions
  • Prosthetics and human enhancement technology
  • Brainwave-reading demonstrations
  • Interactive displays exploring human-machine relationships
  • Thought-provoking questions about technology and humanity

Perfect for families with curious kids, tech-enthusiastic teens, or anyone fascinated by where technology is taking us. The big questions about humanity and machines are genuinely interesting rather than preachy, and the hands-on format means kids stay engaged while adults find themselves thinking deeply about the implications. Works brilliantly for multi-generational visits because everyone has different perspectives on technology's role in our lives.
