Up the Creek: Paddle, Connect & Discover
Escape the everyday and embark on a transformative outdoor adventure with the Bats Paddle Experience at Yarra Bend Park. Perfect for families, this urban escape invites you to reconnect with nature and each other as you paddle through serene waters surrounded by lush landscapes and thriving wildlife.
Glide beneath the trees and alongside the Flying Fox colony, where nature’s rhythms take center stage. Keep your eyes peeled for curious creatures like long-neck turtles, abundant birdlife, and if you’re lucky, perhaps even a shy platypus! Guided by the natural world, this two-hour paddle experience is a chance to slow down, reflect, and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the park.
Finish your adventure with a gentle 30-minute walk back to the starting point, where every step deepens your connection to the park’s ecologies, flora, and fauna. (Prefer wheels over walking? A taxi return can be arranged at your own expense.) This mindful journey offers families the chance to slow down, rediscover the beauty of nature, and create lasting memories together—because sometimes, life’s best moments are found Up the Creek.
