Embark on a magical journey through ancient Egypt at the NGV’s exhibition designed just for kids!

Step into the world of pharaohs, pyramids, and timeless art as your family explores the lives of these fascinating historical figures. The exhibition, housed in the NGV’s vibrant children’s gallery, offers an immersive experience with a selection of intriguing artifacts from the NGV antiquities collection.

Young explorers will delight in cracking hieroglyphs by turning their names into ancient Egyptian writing using crayons and frottage, while toddlers can create vibrant pictures inspired by life along the Nile. Build your own pyramid with specially made boxes to understand the impressive tombs of pharaohs, and test your knowledge with a fun, richly animated multimedia quiz. Collect hieroglyphs along the way and be rewarded for your discoveries, making it an exciting blend of learning and play that brings the wonders of ancient Egypt to life for curious minds and adventurous spirits.
