1. Dinosaur Party

Twirl, stomp, and roar into Queensland Museum for a prehistoric celebration of movement at rompin’, stompin’ Dinosaur Party these school holidays!

In this free 45-minute children’s workshop, Queensland Ballet teaching artists will take you on a dino-dancing journey of movement with a prehistoric twist. Each class is limited to just 25 places, so registrations are essential.

Queensland Museum’s Dinosaur Party holiday program celebrates Dinosaurs Unearthed: Explore Prehistoric Queensland. Make a morning of it by adding on a few hours to visit the new exhibition and discover Queensland’s own dinosaurs, giant marine reptiles, and supersized megafauna. Register now.

2. 花弁 Hanabira (Gentle Petal) in the Dome

Museum of Brisbane presents a fun and engaging series of free and paid activities during the school holidays.

MoB has been growing a colorful garden, and it’s set to burst out of the Adelaide Street Pavilion these school holidays!

Inspire your little one’s imagination with a visit to the Dome Gallery daily between 10am and 1pm, help Artist in Residence Hiromi Tango build a healing garden for everyone to enjoy. Using recycled materials, learn some basic techniques to make tiny fabric blooms that will grow into a community garden full of creativity and joy. 3. Cross River Rail Experience Centre

For an interactive and educational experience, visit the Cross River Rail Experience Centre during the Autumn school holidays.

Explore the future of Brisbane’s transportation and infrastructure projects through engaging exhibits and activities. Choose from a range of hands-on activities including Your Station Sculpture, Tessellations, Bottle Cap Creations, Elevator Challenge, and more, offering something for every member of the family to enjoy. 4. Daisy Hill Koala Centre

Located in the southern suburb of Brisbane, Daisy Hill Koala Centre is a free and unique place to learn about koalas and their conservation.

Suitable for all ages, the centre offering two different level viewing boardwalks weaving through the eucalypt forest to spot the resident koalas from. Time your visit around the daily Wildlife Officer talks held at 11am and 2pm when fresh leaf will be provided to the koalas, one of their most active times. 5. Eco Market at Indigiscapes

If you’re a Brisbane local and you haven’t ventured to Redlands Indigiscapes Centre, we recommend you put it on the list for your next day trip!

Situated just 10 minutes from Capalaba is 14.5 hectares of natural bushland you’ll find native botanical gardens, bush trails with some even manageable with a stroller, nature playground, and ample outdoor space for a picnic. The kids will have a blast exploring and interacting with the displays in the Discovery Centre. Visit on Saturday 6 April for the Eco Market where you can browse the sustainable products and fresh produce, while enjoying entertainment and family yoga session with WildFlowKids. Join the eco-conscious movement and explore the wonders of Redlands Indigiscapes by attending their Eco Markets!
