If you’re like us, it’s likely the car or portable first aid kit slipped down the priority list to a nice to have. But as the children get older, we are seeing them become more active and daring as well a so we felt now’s the time to get prepared.
A family first aid kit is an important item to have in an easily accessible location in case of emergencies or accidents whether you’re at the playground, sports, camping, or simply visiting friends or family.
This list is a combination of standard inclusions you’d find in any premade kit from your local store, plus a few extras to suit our individual needs. We found many of these items at home, repurposed an Aesop beauty case and made sure we tailored the kit to suit each family members’ individual needs.
For peace of mind we downloaded the Australian Red Cross First Aid App as a reference to help guide us in providing proper care in the event of unexpected illness.
