1. How long has Riverlife Brisbane been operating, and how long have you been involved?
   18 years. I first started here in 2015 as a casual instructor and became the Manager just over 2 years ago.
2. What do you enjoy most about managing Riverlife Brisbane?
   I can’t go past the beautiful location. I try to take time every day to appreciate that I’m able to work right beside the river and the cliffs, but also overlooking the city and Botanic Gardens.

3. What do kids love most about Riverlife Brisbane?
   All our activities! We have plenty of school groups visiting us, as well as kids during their school holidays. Our instructors are such a fun bunch, and provide great entertainment and a safe environment.
4. What makes Riverlife Brisbane super family-friendly?
   Our instructors! A lot of them work at other Outdoor Education Centres, or at schools. I myself have a long history of working with kids, and love the enthusiasm and cheekiness they bring to our activities. It’s a nice change of pace from our usual tours with adult tourists and locals.
5. How do you ensure the safety of your customers while they participate?
   We’ve had 18 years to get things right, and have a great safety record. All of our staff are trained and qualified, and we undertake extensive risk assessments to ensure our activities are safe and fun!
6. What sustainability initiatives do Riverlife Brisbane have in place or have coming soon?
   We’re really proud that all of our activities are super-sustainable. We purchase all of our equipment from local business, and ensure that those businesses use environmentally-friendly practices.
7. Can you tell us about a particularly memorable experience you have had working with a customer or group?
   One of the best tours I guided was with a group with vision-impairment – we took them abseiling! It was an awesome experience and just drove home that absolutely anyone can experience what we have to offer, and achieve something they maybe never thought they could! Another one is being able to paddle on the river whilst the New Year’s Eve fireworks were going off. Amazing experience!

8. What’s your go-to kids’ gift?
   I love Harry Potter, so I tend to gravitate towards that when getting gifts for my niece and nephew.
