Unlock the Secrets of Old Melbourne Gaol: A Fascinating Day Behind Bars!

Take a step into Melbourne’s past at the Old Melbourne Gaol, where Australia’s most notorious criminals, like Ned Kelly and Squizzy Taylor, once served time. Explore the eerie cells, the gallows, and fascinating displays about the lives of prisoners—both young and old—who once called the gaol home.

Families can dive into history with self-guided tours, or for an extra thrill, join the Escape Artists Tour or explore the City Watch House with a charge sergeant. During school holidays, kids can take part in special programs and leave with their own “mug shot” as a fun souvenir!

For those brave enough, night tours with the Hangman or spine-tingling ghost tours will leave you with goosebumps!
