The National Railway Museum in Port Adelaide is a must-visit for families, offering nearly 100 exhibits across two enormous pavilions and a heritage-listed goods shed. With an impressive collection of steam locomotives, diesel engines, and carriages, it’s a thrilling destination for train lovers of all ages. Kids will especially enjoy the miniature train ride around the site and the interactive train simulator inside the pavilion.
The museum also features a large model railway, interactive displays like the famous “Tea and Sugar” train, and fascinating exhibitions on the role of women in the railways. A variety of events are hosted throughout the year, making each visit a new adventure!
