Departing every 30 minutes on the first full weekend of each month, the beautifully restored Krauss locomotive offers an authentic journey through time, making it a must-do when visiting Sheffield.
Beyond the ride, there's plenty to explore! The onsite steam museum is packed with fascinating working steam engines, showcasing the machinery that once powered industries and communities. Kids (and kids at heart) will love the miniature train rides and model gauge trains, adding an extra dose of fun to the day. Built in 1914, the original Railton-Roland railway once carried passengers and goods through the region, and today, it continues to tell its story through this lovingly restored experience.
