FAQs

  1. Opening Hours: Daily 9am to 4pm. Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day.
  2. Car Parking: Paid street parking is available outside the museum, and free parking (time limits apply) is available on The Strand, about 200 metres from the museum.
  3. Accessibility: Disabled access available, contact operator for details.
  4. Family Friendly Facilities: Pram access – the museum is accessible for parents bringing prams or strollers. Lifts are located in the centre of the building to enable access to all levels of the museum. There is a family room with a nappy change table and easy access for prams located on the Ground Floor and Level 1.
  5. What is the cost to visit: Townsville and regional residents receive discounted exhibition admission. All exhibitions are included with admission.
