Bundaberg’s very own ‘Kakadu’

Escape into nature at Baldwin Swamp Environmental Park, a peaceful haven in Bundaberg known for its incredible birdlife and wetlands. Often called Bundy’s own “Kakadu”, this beautiful park is home to thousands of waterbirds as well as plenty of native wildlife.

Wander along scenic trails surrounded by eucalyptus trees, cycle the pathways that weave through forests and over waterways, or simply sit back and enjoy the stillness of the wetlands. It’s a wonderful way for kids to connect with nature and discover the sights, sounds, and smells of the bush.

On the western side of the park, you’ll also find Lake Ellen Heritage Hub, a family-friendly space that’s perfect for a picnic, with shaded areas and wide-open lawns for little ones to play.
